Job summary

RLC, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the inspection of aircraft maintenance and company procedures for conformance with the FARs and the RLC General Maintenance Manual.

The role requires an A&P certificate with at least six years as an aircraft mechanic, and strong documentation, auditing, and record-keeping skills. Candidates must be proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email, and hold a valid FAA airframe and powerplant license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, A&P Certificate, with at least 6 years of Aircraft Mechanic experience.
• Must be computer literate and able to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email applications.
• Current Valid Driver’s License. FAA mechanic license with airframe and powerplant ratings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work performed by aircraft mechanics to ensure maintenance aligns with FARs, OSHA, and DPS procedures.
• Perform serial number and equipment list checks.
• Review work orders and make appropriate logbook entries.
• Review completed work orders and inspection forms for accuracy and content.
• Monitor mechanic tool control per RLC's GMM.
• Inspect maintenance work on aircraft to approve return to service.
• Research records and create FAA Form 8130-3.
• Write, execute, and disseminate FAA Form 337s.
• Weigh aircraft and update equipment lists.
• Document and compile damage for DER repairs.
• Maintain and track aircraft bulletin compliance.
• Organize and maintain aircraft airworthiness records.
• Maintain local aircraft technical library and disseminate information to aviation personnel.
• Retrieve and submit SOAP and NDT samples and manage documentation.
• Perform field base audits and vendor audits.
• Audit log sheets and inspection forms for errors and coordinate corrections.
• Identify and document premature component removals.
• Audit calibrated tools, equipment, and facilities for serviceability.

Education

High school diploma or GED, A&P Certificate, with 6+ years of Aircraft Mechanic experience
