Job summary

Avelo Airlines in New Haven, CT is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to oversee Technical Operations and ensure aircraft, engines and components are maintained in a safe, airworthy manner per regulatory and company guidance. A&P license and 3+ years of large-aircraft experience required.

Responsibilities include monitoring work, ensuring proper use of manuals, identifying RII items, and maintaining accurate records; travel and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge of CFRs and safety/quality standards (IOSA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical data and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality oversight for all maintenance activities.
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure manuals/tools are used during inspections and maintenance.
  • Identify RII items per company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of terminology for aircraft discrepancies.
  • Promote safety and provide direction to technicians performing service, maintenance, repair and ramp activities.
  • Perform inspections (preliminary, in-progress, final) and validate documentation.
  • Review maintenance records for completeness and accuracy.
