Job summary

Avelo Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure maintenance quality, regulatory compliance, and airworthiness across the Technical Operations Department.

Responsibilities include monitoring work, validating documentation, and guiding technicians while promoting safety and efficient operations. FAA A&P required with 3+ years of airline experience, strong RII knowledge, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license required.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience on large airplanes with 10+ seats.
• Strong knowledge of RII and quality control processes.
• Ability to read and understand processes and procedures in manuals.
• Ability to work with regulatory requirements and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality oversight for all maintenance activities.
• Monitor work in-progress to ensure manuals and tools are used correctly.
• Identify RII items per company policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper use of terminology for aircraft discrepancies.
• Promote safety and provide direction to technicians during service and maintenance.
• Perform inspections at preliminary, in-progress, hidden damage, and final stages.
• Review maintenance documentation and ensure accuracy before archival.
• Maintain current forms and tags for technicians.
• Ensure maintenance manuals and documents are up-to-date.
• Review SDR reports and verify identified items.
• Verify turnover procedures are followed between shifts.
• Perform RII and Buy Back inspections as required.
• Monitor complex repairs to ensure compliance with standards.
• Record incomplete items at shift changes and hand over properly.
• Conduct self-audits of maintenance support processes.
• Ensure calibration status of tools and expiry of shelf-life items.
• Quarantine and disposition parts per procedures.
• Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Report safety issues through the proper channels.
