Job summary

Omni Air International (OAI) is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to report to the Manager of Inspection. The role involves professional representation of the company, conducting shop area inspections, coordinating inspections, and performing assigned tasks across maintenance events on large aircraft including Boeing 767/777.

Applicants should have an A&P certificate, a high school diploma, and be willing to work a 12-hour shift with evenings/weekends. Travel and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid A&P certificate.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Willing to work a 12-hour shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with clear MVR in past 3 years.
• Must possess passport for unrestricted travel to all countries OAI may fly.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company professionally and protect its interests.
• Inspect all shop areas as directed.
• Coordinate inspection progress with the Manager of Inspection.
• Perform inspection tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Inspect incoming components or materials when necessary.
• Document major repairs/major alterations on FAA Form 337 as required.
• Complete Service Difficulty Reports under 14 CFR 121.703.
• Audit and oversee outsourced maintenance providers during inspections and maintenance events.
• Attend OAI training classes as assigned.
• Release aircraft for service by signing airworthiness release.
• Audit paperwork and perform internal audits per OAI manuals.
• Oversee aircraft weigh operations and balance calculations.
