Job summary

V2X in Ridgecrest, CA seeks an Aircraft Mechanic II to perform O-Level maintenance on squadron aircraft, engines, hydraulics and controls. You’ll interpret blueprints and manuals, prioritize workloads and potentially lead teams while maintaining logs and safety standards.

Requirements include a Navy C-school, 5+ years US Navy/Marine/Coast Guard maintenance experience, and eligibility for a DoD secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; specialized training desirable.
• Completed Navy Skill Specialty Class 'C' school.
• Minimum five years USN/USMC/USCG CNAFINST 4790.2 aircraft maintenance support experience.
• Not less than three years T/M aircraft maintenance experience for the T/M/S hired.
• Previously designated as a CDI, QAR, or CDQAR.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures.
• Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on aircraft airframe, ordnance, power plants, corrosion control and painting.
• Maintain/repair engine systems, structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and related components.
• Lead teams through complex tasks and log entries as required.
• Direct Level I personnel to accomplish maintenance actions per DoD definitions.
• Pursue Plane Captain certification and maintain required qualifications.
