Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mechanic I Machinist (AD) at NAS Lemoore to service and overhaul aircraft, focusing on F/A-18 powerplant and fuel systems. Candidates must read and interpret manuals, perform diagnostics, and work with specialized tools and ground support equipment.

The role requires 3 years of O-level maintenance experience, English proficiency, and willingness to obtain CDI qualifications within 90 days. Shift work is required, and U.S. Citizenship for credentials may apply.

Qualifications

• 3 years O-level aircraft system maintenance experience.
• Ability to use and interpret maintenance manuals and directives.
• Willingness to obtain CDI qualification and maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service F/A-18 powerplant and fuel systems in accordance with manuals and directives.
• Troubleshoot, remove, replace, and repair aircraft systems and components.
• Work with ground support equipment and tools; ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain workload prioritization to meet schedules and maintenance standards.
