Job summary

Peraton in Huntsville, AL, is hiring a Software-Systems Engineer for an onsite role supporting the Aircraft Survivability Equipment program. You will work as a software/system SME across high-visibility ASE programs, providing software knowledge, requirements analysis, design reviews, and vendor coordination.

You will collaborate across teams to understand interfaces, ensure interoperability, and drive software growth initiatives while applying DoD lifecycle practices and Agile methods. U.S.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the DoD software lifecycle
• Experience with Agile software development
• Ability to work across complex interoperable systems
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• MS Office proficiency
• DoD acquisition project management experience (desired)
• Domain knowledge of DoD systems design (desired)

Responsibilities

• Provide software knowledge and program management support for ASE products.
• Assist in analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and support of complex systems.
• Brief on software development status to stakeholders.
• Understand system interfaces and interoperability with external systems.
• Coordinate Agile software planning with vendors.
• Review vendor software CDRLs and artifacts.
• Support design reviews as a SW SME for ASE engineering.
• Test and verify interoperability between systems.
• Understand software requirements and performance needs.
• Engage with vendors on capabilities and requirements.
• Analyze user needs to determine feasible solutions.
• Support software growth efforts (FACE, MOSA, MBSE).
• Resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge.
