Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Paint Technician for a weekend shift at our Perryville, Missouri facility. You will paint and finish aircraft surfaces, lay out designs, and ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic paint experience, and a willingness to work overtime. The role offers comprehensive benefits starting on day one and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Vo-tech in paint or on-the-job experience is preferred but not required.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
• 0-2 years of paint experience for Tech I; more for higher levels.
• Experience in aviation, auto, RV or marine paint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer.
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner.
• Washing the paint booth.
• Applying all layers of paint including top coat.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes.
• Prep and scuff paint for trim.
• Re-masking aircraft and detail work.
• Inspect completed paint jobs.
• Paint mixing and paint matching.
• Communicate clearly in English.
