Position Summary

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, and will be for a 6-month duration based on the individual Contractor's performance. If the Contractor fails to perform assigned duties and responsibilities in a professional manner, in good faith, and to the best of their abilities, Tactical Air Support may terminate this agreement immediately by giving notice to the Contracting Agency.

The Contractor's rate of pay and payment for work performed will be processed and arranged through the Contracting Agency.

Aircraft Mechanics (Structures/Avionics/Airframes)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Position Summary

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, for a 6-month period based on performance. The Aircraft Mechanics will be assigned duties in their specialized areas: avionics, structures, or airframes.

Responsibilities

Avionic Mechanics will perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance, including inspection, operational testing, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical/avionics systems on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Requirements

• Must be instructed to apply via contracting agency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and/or flight line occupational field.
• Knowledge of maintenance and technical manuals, publications, instructions, and use of special tools and test equipment.
• Valid state driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Physical Demands

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance if required.
• Regular use of hands and fingers for handling, feeling, or operating objects, tools, or controls.
• Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.

Work Authorization

• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
• Pre-employment, random, or for-cause drug/alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
• Work may involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, chemicals, unpredictable climate, electrical hazards, and hazardous materials.
• Work hours are determined by operational and contractual requirements.
