Aircraft Mechanics (Structures/Avionics/Airframes)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 6-month contract based on performance

Contractor Information: Aerotek Contractor

Position Summary

This full-time position involves performing duties within your specialized expertise in avionics, structures, or airframes. The contractor's pay rate and work arrangements will be managed through the contracting agency. Performance will be evaluated, and employment may be terminated if duties are not performed professionally and diligently.

Responsibilities

Avionic Mechanics will conduct organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance, including inspection, operational testing, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

Requirements
  • Apply via contracting agency
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-5 years of aircraft maintenance or flight line experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance manuals, publications, instructions, and tools
  • Valid state driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Use of hands and fingers for handling objects and controls
  • Ascend/descend stairs or ladders regularly
Work Authorization & Environment
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and completion of I-9 form
  • Compliance with drug and alcohol policies, including pre-employment and random testing
  • Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required
  • Work may involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, and hazardous materials
  • Work hours are determined by operational needs
