Position: Aircraft Mechanics (Structures/Avionics/Airframes)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Type: Contract (Aerotek Contractor)

Position Summary: This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, for a duration of 6 months based on performance. The Contractor's duties include specialized tasks in avionics, structures, or airframes. Compensation will be processed through the Contracting Agency.

Responsibilities

Aircraft Mechanics will perform maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical/avionics systems, components, and equipment, according to their specialization.

Requirements
  • Must apply via contracting agency.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or flight line operations.
  • Knowledge of maintenance manuals, publications, instructions, and tools.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of hands and fingers for handling tools and controls.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders.
Work Authorization
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and completion of I-9 form.
  • Pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol testing required.
  • Physical certifications required.
  • Work may involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, chemicals, and other hazards.
