Position Summary
This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, for a 6-month duration based on individual contractor performance. Failure to perform duties professionally and in good faith may result in immediate termination by Tactical Air Support. The contractor's pay will be processed through the contracting agency.

Responsibilities
Aircraft Mechanics will perform duties in their specialized areas: avionics, structures, or airframes.

Responsibilities for Avionic Mechanics include:
Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance, including inspection, operational testing, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical/avionics systems on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Must apply via contracting agency.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 5 years of aircraft maintenance or flight line experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and technical manuals, publications, instructions, and special tools.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Use of hands and fingers for handling tools and controls.
  • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders.

Work Authorization

  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and completion of I-9 form.
  • Pre-employment, random, or for-cause drug/alcohol testing required.
  • Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, chemicals, and other hazards in hangar or warehouse environments.
  • Work hours are determined by operational needs.
