Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic cable, inspect, test, and modify as needed.
• Accurately document maintenance actions in logs and approved systems.
• Ensure compliance with tool control, FOD, ESD, safety and quality requirements.
• May perform Site Lead duties as assigned.

AIRCRAFT MECHANIC III [AVIONICS / ELECTRICIAN] (23023)

Location: 4 th MXG Seymour Johnson AFB, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Clearance: SECRET | CAC required

Summary

Supports aircraft maintenance, equipment installation, and modification functions on F-15E aircraft in accordance with the Air Force technical directives, applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.

Senior-level aircraft mechanic supporting F-15E aircraft performing maintenance and modification operations.

Essential Functions

• Perform F-15E avionics/electrical maintenance, equipment installation, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification in accordance with applicable technical data and TCTOs
• Perform fiber optic cable installation, cleaning, inspection, testing, and related modification tasks in accordance with applicable technical data
• Accurately document maintenance actions, inspections, modifications, and technical directive compliance in applicable aircraft forms, logs, records, and approved maintenance information systems
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), safety, and quality requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Duties

• May perform Site Lead duties as assigned
• Maintenance, modification, inspection, and repair
• Technical Directive compliance and modifications
• Support Equipment (SE) operation and inspections
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems
• Document maintenance actions per AFI requirements

Qualifications

• Aircraft Mechanic II shall have a minimum of five (5) years of avionics/electrical experience, preferably on F-15E aircraft, or equivalent experience
• Fiber optic cable installation, cleaning, inspection, and testing experience and/or qualification meeting MIL-STD-1678-1D Requirement 1306, SAE ARP5602, and ARINC 805/807-4 preferred
• Must be able to work, day, swing or mid shift as required
• SECRET clearance required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation

• $41.33/hour + $2.65 H&W
