Job summary

Kay & Associates, Inc. seeks an Aircraft Mechanic II (Sheetmetal / Structures) to support F-15E maintenance, installation and modification tasks.

The role involves reading technical data, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality programs in a labor-intensive environment. The position requires at least three years of sheetmetal/structures experience, the ability to work various shifts, and a SECRET clearance.

AIRCRAFT MECHANIC II [SHEETMETAL / STRUCTURES] (23022)

Specialty:

Summary

Supports aircraft maintenance, equipment installation, and modification functions on F-15E aircraft in accordance with the Air Force technical directives, applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.

Mid-level aircraft mechanic supporting F-15E aircraft, performing maintenance and modification operations.

Essential Functions

• Perform F-15E airframe, sheet metal, and structural maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications
• Perform aircraft structural modification and installation tasks in accordance with applicable technical data
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Duties

• Aircraft maintenance, modification, inspection, and repair
• Perform sheet metal and structural removal, installation, fitting, drilling, fastening, and repair as required by applicable technical data
• Technical Directive/TCTO compliance and modifications
• Support Equipment (SE) operation and inspections
• Interpret technical manuals, technical orders, drawings, and directives
• Troubleshoot and repair applicable aircraft structural systems and components
• Document maintenance actions in accordance with applicable Air Force requirements

Qualifications

• Aircraft Mechanic II shall have a minimum of 3 years sheetmetal / structures experience (preferably F-15E) or equivalent
• Must be able to work, day, swing or mid shift as required
• SECRET clearance required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation

• $39.58/hour + $2.65 H&W
