Job summary

M1 Support Services, headquartered in Westlake, TX, seeks an Aircraft Mechanic II - Low Observables to perform daily flightline and back shop Low Observable operations at Nellis AFB, NV. Responsibilities include applying coatings, fabricating parts, diagnosing damage, and documenting maintenance actions in MIS systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years’ experience as a USAF or allied Low Observable technician, with potential SAP requirements and Secret

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mathematics skills are desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Low Observables technician.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, fabricates, and applies corrosion protective, low observable coatings and markings to aircraft structures and components.
• Assembles structural parts using special fasteners and adhesives to preserve low observable qualities.
• Assesses damage to aircraft components and coatings.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals and technical data to determine repair feasibility.
• Records maintenance actions in MIS systems and forms.
• May lead teams for complex inspections and repairs.
