Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Aircraft Low Observables Mechanic 3/4 at Whiteman AFB, MO. The role requires a active Secret clearance and the ability to work in a classified environment. Shifts vary by business needs and may include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include maintaining LO structures, surface preparation, sealant application, paint/coating work, and system troubleshooting to keep aircraft in flying condition. Physical demands and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to successfully complete Aircraft Low Observables training.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all LO outer mold line structures and materials.
• Prepare surfaces for coating and inspect for porosity.
• Mix and apply sealants, fillers, paints, and coatings per specs.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems and verify conformity to specs.
