Job summary

Kay & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Junior to mid-level Aircraft Mechanic for P-8 series aircraft in Jacksonville, FL, performing organizational-level maintenance in line with NAMP, federal contract requirements, and approved data.

You will support Squadron VP-30 with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation while adhering to safety, tool control, and quality standards. CDI/CDQAR experience is preferred and a Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years airframe, avionics, or powerplant aviation maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years P-8A or similar aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must meet PWS qualification timelines and hold Secret clearance.
  • CDI/CDQAR preferred; CDI within 180 days of start; Safe for Flight preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair and modification.
  • Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems.
  • Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics.
  • Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs.
  • Perform general aircraft maintenance and both scheduled and unscheduled tasks.
  • Support flight line operations, SE inspections, aircraft movement, and corrosion control.

Summary

Provides support of Organizational-level aircraft maintenance support on P-8 series aircraft in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.

Junior-level aircraft mechanic supporting contract maintenance on P-8 series aircraft at Squadron VP-30.

Essential Functions
  • Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
  • Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
  • May lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics
  • Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs

Qualifications
  • 4+ years airframe, avionics, or powerplant aviation maintenance experience
  • 4+ years P-8A or similar aircraft maintenance experience preferred
  • Must be able to work day, swing, mid, or weekend shift as required
  • Former CDI/CDQAR preferred, must be CDI within 180 days of start
  • Former Safe for Flight preferred
  • Must meet qualification requirements in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) timelines
  • Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation
  • $37.83/hour + $2.65 H&W
Benefits
