Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduation from FAA approved aviation maintenance technician school and one year of experience in aircraft inspection, maintenance and repair.
  • Or high school or GED and three years of related experience or equivalent training.
  • Possession of valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the NC Forest Service aircraft and assist in wildfire suppression.
  • Perform inspections, repairs and tests per maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with FARs and logbook sign-off requirements.
