The North Carolina Forest Service is a team of professionals who provide forest protection, emergency response, resource management and environmental education to the residents and landowners of North Carolina through a variety of programs. The NC Forest Service provides services to the 100 counties in North Carolina. The NCFS Aviation Division is responsible for fire detection and suppression, airborne pest control detection, water quality, hazard reduction burning, and other supporting flights. The primary purpose of the NCFS Maintenance Organization is to maintain the Division’s aircraft and serve on the flight crew to assist in wildfire suppression. Residency requirement - Must reside within one hour of required duty station.
