Qualifications

  • Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, with preference for line maintenance.
  • Gen Fam A320 and A330 experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, returning aircraft to service within scope of approval.
  • Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot systems, disassemble, repair, and reassemble components to ensure equipment functionality according to approved technical data.
  • Ensure departing aircraft comply with FARs and manufacturer manuals, documenting all work performed.
  • Collaborate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in San Diego, CA. Our focus is on exceeding customer expectations and building lasting relationships with our clientele. The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for executing maintenance tasks in compliance with company policies, government regulations, and manufacturers' technical specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform line maintenance, both on-call and scheduled, on various customers' aircraft.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, returning aircraft to service within scope of approval.
  • Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.

Essential Skills
  • Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, with preference for line maintenance.
  • Gen Fam A320 and A330 experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Capability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noises.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience on B767-200/300 aircraft types is preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-facing skills and ability to interact professionally with flight crew.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision.

Work Environment
  1. Work at the San Diego International Airport flightline. The schedule is currently set from Sunday to Thursday, 2am to 10:30am, with initial training for 30-60 days on a Monday to Friday schedule. Expect to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to various weather conditions and non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
