Job summary

Aerotek in Seattle, WA is seeking a Service Mechanic to maintain hydraulic-lift box trucks used to deliver catering to aircraft on the tarmac. The role involves repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a shop near the airport.

Hours are 6am–3pm, Monday–Friday, in the north cargo area at SEATAC. This permanent onsite position offers a pay range of $68,000–$89,440 per year plus health/vision/dental, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in vehicle, heavy equipment, or ground support equipment maintenance including diesel and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.

Job Title: Service Mechanic Job Description

As a Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance of hydraulic-lift box trucks used to deliver catering to aircraft on the tarmac. Working in a shop located in the non-badged areas adjacent to the airport, you will repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of these trucks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics to solve complex problems.
• Independently perform technical, mechanical, and electrical repairs.
• Conduct high-standard quality checks and ensure the safe transport of ground support equipment.
• Actively participate in occupational health and safety processes and reporting.
• Accurately report work orders and time sheets in the maintenance system.
• Check vehicles, scan spare parts, and complete maintenance checklists.
• Handle the replenishment and documentation of used parts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Uphold quality control measures and product integrity.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Competence in using hand tools and diagnostic software.
• 3+ years of experience in vehicle, heavy equipment, or ground support equipment maintenance, including diesel and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with ground support equipment.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
