This role performs comprehensive aircraft maintenance and repair within a certified 14 CFR Part 145 repair station environment, supporting commercial aircraft across their full service life. The aircraft mechanic researches technical data and carries out disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using specialized tools and ground support equipment, in strict accordance with maintenance manuals and FAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Research technical data and follow applicable maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and FAA regulations to determine the appropriate methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged aircraft components.
- Perform disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using company special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, as well as functional components including rigging, flight control surfaces, plumbing systems, and hydraulic units.
- Read and interpret manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to assess feasibility of repairs and to execute approved maintenance procedures.
- Remove units from aircraft, engines, or other major components or subassemblies, and complete all required identification, inspection, routing tags, forms, and entries in the Component Removal Log.
- Disassemble and inspect aircraft and engine parts for wear, damage, corrosion, or other defects, and document findings as required.
- Repair or replace defective engine parts, reassemble engines, and reinstall engines in aircraft in accordance with approved procedures.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories to ensure proper operation and compliance with technical standards.
- Perform miscellaneous service duties on aircraft, including cleaning, servicing, greasing, moving aircraft and components, and checking brakes.
- Operate aircraft ground servicing equipment such as tugs, tractors, hi-lifts, trucks, servicing carts, test equipment, hand tools, rivet guns, and drills in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and aircraft storage or reclamation activities on commercial aircraft as needed.
- Airframe qualification required, with 3–5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience in heavy maintenance on commercial aircraft, including narrow and wide body types.
- Hands‑on experience with aircraft maintenance and repair in a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station or similar regulated environment.
- Proficiency in line maintenance and aircraft maintenance repair activities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, including wings, fuselage, rigging, flight control surfaces, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working on Boeing and Airbus commercial aircraft airframes.
- Ability to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft and engine components to required standards.
- Capability to adjust, repair, or replace aircraft electrical wiring systems and accessories.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license preferred.
- Experience in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment is highly beneficial.
- Possession of a basic set of personal tools suitable for aircraft maintenance work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.12 - $45.00/hr.
