Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Manager of General Manufacturing 1 (B-Shift) to oversee daily production and drive continuous improvement. This on-site leadership role leads a team, coordinates start-ups, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing costs.

The position emphasizes leadership, manufacturing expertise, and the ability to work across departments to meet customer demand in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 4 years of related production experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or related environment.
• 1 year of experience leading projects or teams.
• Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily production and manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate and lead operations start up meeting.
• Daily resource planning to meet customer/schedule demand.
• Collaborate with production scheduling to meet schedule requirements.
• Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to complete assigned workload.
• Report production KPIs to site leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions on safety & quality incidents.
• Mentor, train, and develop staff including performance management and corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, delivery, quality and cost.
