Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Manager of General Manufacturing 1 (B-Shift) in Dayton, Ohio. This on-site leadership role oversees daily production, coordinates start-up meetings, and ensures on-time delivery for complex aerospace manufacturing programs.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of related production experience, plus 1 year of leadership. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of related production experience.
• 1 year of experience leading projects or teams.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily production and manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate and lead operations start up meeting.
• Daily resource planning to meet customer/schedule demand.
• Collaborate with production scheduling to meet schedule requirements.
• Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to complete assigned workload.
• Report production KPIs to site leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions on safety & quality incidents.
• Mentor, train, and develop staff including performance management and corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, delivery, quality and cost.
