Qualifications

  • 8 years of aviation maintenance experience with Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Must have A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license.

Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Technician V in GAC St. Louis

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Additional Requirement: Able to read and interpret aircraft blueprints.

Compensation Range: $44.18 - $51.54 per hour. Final compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 4 years with Gulfstream aircraft
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license
  • Valid Driver's License

Position Purpose: Perform technical aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification to ensure aircraft functionality. Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting and repairs with high accuracy.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems.
  2. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot aircraft components including airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical systems, and control systems.
  3. Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure FAA compliance and proper documentation.
  4. Complete work orders, shift turnovers, and paperwork promptly.
  5. Ensure quality standards are met for all work performed.
  6. Identify and tag customer property and aircraft components; store securely.
  7. Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  8. Operate and oversee special support equipment for major component removal and installation.
  9. Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repairs as needed.

Additional Functions include applying 6S and Lean initiatives, maintaining tools and equipment, acting on behalf of the Lead when needed, coordinating aircraft movement, and maintaining knowledge of FAA regulations, manuals, and company policies.

Other Requirements include advanced knowledge of aircraft inspection and maintenance procedures, technical manuals, drawings, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
