Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Technician Vin GAC St. Louis

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Eligible.

Additional Requirement:

Able to read and interpret aircraft blueprints.

The compensation range for this role is $44.18 - $51.54 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by factors including qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including at least 4 years with Gulfstream aircraft. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required.

Position Purpose: Perform technical aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key components, ensuring proper operation and demonstrating expertise with troubleshooting and repair duties requiring high accuracy and skill.

Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  2. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot aircraft components including airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical systems, and control systems.
  3. Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure FAA compliance and proper documentation.
  4. Complete work orders, shift turnovers, and paperwork accurately and timely.
  5. Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  6. Properly identify and store customer property and aircraft components securely.
  7. Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  8. Operate and oversee special support equipment for major component removal and installation.
  9. Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.

Additional functions include applying 6S and Lean initiatives, maintaining tools and equipment, acting on behalf of the Lead, coordinating aircraft movement, and maintaining knowledge of FAA regulations and company policies.

Other requirements include advanced knowledge of aircraft inspection and maintenance procedures, technical manuals, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
