Job summary

Avelo Airlines, Inc. is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our team in New Haven, CT. You will ensure safe, compliant, on-time maintenance of Avelo aircraft at line maintenance level with clear ownership of the aircraft when on duty.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting; MEL/CDL procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in inclement weather.
• Must be able to work shift work, weekends and holidays.
• Possible travel for training up to 25% away from base.
• Must provide own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an understanding of the maintenance program.
• Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled workloads.
• Own the aircraft while on duty.
• Maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control and Pilots.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Structural Repair Manual conditional use and damage assessment.
• Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) program and promote a 'Safety Always' culture.
• Understand FAA regulatory requirements as they pertain to planning tasks daily.
