Job summary

Vista Aircraft Maintenance in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical and electrical aircraft systems, perform inspections, and document corrective actions per AMM criteria.

You will also guide Level I technicians, assist with engine ground runs, and maintain accurate maintenance records in Corridor per FAR Part 43. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience, strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting ability on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret AMM, SRM, IPC and related manuals.
• Experience entering maintenance entries into Corridor or similar systems.
• Able to perform engine ground runs (as approved).
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and a full set of professional-grade tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical and electrical issues on aircraft systems.
• Conduct inspections and document corrective actions per AMM criteria.
• Assist with aircraft movement, engine ground runs, and taxi operations as approved.
• Provide guidance to Level I technicians on procedures, tooling, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate log entries and data in Corridor per FAR Part 43.
• Apply working knowledge of Part 135/145 forms, documentation, and processes.
• Work with the Chief Inspector to initiate inspection qualification pathways.
• Support upkeep of shop equipment, tooling, and facilities.
• Oversee tasks performed by Level I technicians to ensure compliance and accuracy.
