Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift in East Alton, IL. Responsibilities include mechanical work, panel removal/installation, troubleshooting, and aircraft inspections on a variety of civilian aircraft.

The role requires Airframe or Powerplant licensing with increasing experience across AMT I–IV levels, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license preferred.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I.
• AMT levels specify 0–2 years (I), 2–4 years (II), 4–6+ years (III), 6+ years (IV).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system issues.
• Operate ground support equipment and inspect aircraft.
• Maintain shop facilities, tooling, and documentation.
