Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in East Alton, IL to work on a variety of civilian aircraft. The role involves mechanical tasks, component installation, troubleshooting and inspections, with supervision as needed.

Ideal candidates hold Airframe (and preferably Powerplant) licenses and have relevant maintenance experience. Expect a fast-paced hangar environment with opportunities for growth and industry-leading pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Powerplant preferred for certain levels.
• AMT I: 0–2 years in aviation maintenance or similar; AMT III: 4–6+ years; AMT IV: 6+ years.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in performance runs.
