Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I/Crewmember to coordinate with crewmembers on aircraft part assessments and plan servicing tasks to maintain airworthiness.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, two years of aircraft maintenance experience or military training, and an Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license. FAA licensing may be required, with potential line-station service duties to keep aircraft operating safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical or Military School Training preferred.
• Two years direct experience in aircraft maintenance or Military technical school with an Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License required.

Responsibilities

• Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and engines to ensure airworthiness.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and components using hand and power tools and equipment.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine repair methods.
• Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft (flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, checking brakes).
• May service engines and airframe components at line station to keep aircraft safe.
