Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I/Crewmember to coordinate with crewmembers on the assessment of each aircraft part and plan servicing duties. Crewmembers should meet AR 95-20 qualifications and participate in Hazardous Flight duties.

Responsibilities include servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and engines to maintain airworthiness; reading manuals and specs; FAA licensing potential; line-station servicing; and performing other duties

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Two years direct experience in aircraft maintenance or Military technical school with an A&P License required.
Any combination of education/experience may be substituted as per hiring manager guidance.

Responsibilities

Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness
Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, and related components using hand tools and power tools
Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals and service bulletins to determine repair methods
Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft (e.g., flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing parts, checking brakes)
May be required to be licensed by FAA
May service engines and airframe components at line station to keep aircraft safe
Performs other duties as assigned
