Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the East Alton, IL facility on the 2nd shift. The role encompasses general aircraft mechanical work, panel removal/installation, troubleshooting, defueling, engine work, and ground support equipment operation.

Eligible candidates have Airframe or Powerplant licenses, with experience levels ranging from AMT I to AMT IV. Benefits start at day one, with a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Powerplant license highly preferred for AMT III/IV.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; 2–4 years for AMT II; 4–6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Defuel aircraft and assist with engine removals/ installations.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist with taxiing.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling; navigate training manuals.
