Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and reading schematics/drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and perform engineering assignments including design changes to aircraft and systems.
  • Investigate requirements and problems to develop solutions meeting safety and MEL standards.
  • Evaluate and apply engineering modifications and analyze reparability of parts.
  • Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other publications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Professional technical writing experience in aerospace, defense, or a similarly regulated industry; direct exposure to joint or multi‑agency programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, system architecture, and/or basic hardware/software terminology; ability to read schematics, block diagrams, and/or software code excerpts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) clearance as required by the program

  • Removal, installation, and inspection of aircraft components
  • Removal, installation, rigging, of aircraft flight‑control surfaces (flaps, flaperons, leading edge flaps, ailerons, horizontal stabilizers, and rudders) and maintain all associated flight‑control mechanisms and adjustment systems.
  • Experience with military flight line operations, components; evaluates operating data on parts, components, and systems to establish causes and to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions, or premature removals; analyzes and evaluates aircraft and associated equipment proposals; prepares technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Technical Manuals/Publications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
