Job summary

Kalitta Air, Llc seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager for the ORD Station in Chicago. The role leads maintenance activities, oversees personnel and contract maintenance, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety procedures outlined in the GMM.

You will coordinate with the Station Manager and Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager to schedule work, manage budgets, and ensure timely maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of aircraft and ground support equipment at ORD.

Qualifications

• Have at least 3 years of experience maintaining the same category and class of airplanes operated by Kalitta Air.
• Must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.
• Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outstation maintenance under guidance of Station Manager and Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager.
• Manage personnel/contract maintenance, training, and policy compliance.
• Maintain sound labor relations and employee safety awareness.
• Plan and execute maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs efficiently.
• Coordinate with management to schedule skilled maintenance work.
• Ensure tools and equipment are cared for and available.
• Monitor budgets and control expenses for maintenance operations.
• Coordinate across Kalitta Air departments and stations.
• Review mechanical reports to improve station efficiency.
• Authorize staffing decisions within supervisory scope.
