Job summary

IMP Aerospace & Defence is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to perform first and second line maintenance on the CH-149 helicopter program supporting Canada’s SAR operations. Based in Greenwood, NS, you will service, inspect, repair and certify mechanical, structural and electrical systems, including ground support equipment, with opportunities for training and career development.

The role requires a recognized maintenance diploma or apprenticeship, 3+ years in aviation maintenance, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aviation maintenance.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence and ability to tow/drive support vehicles.
• Eligible for CGP and Secret Level II Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform First and Second Level maintenance on aircraft mechanical, structural and electrical systems.
• Conduct pre/post flight inspections and ground support duties.
• Repair, install, test, and certify components and systems.
• Provide on-the-job training and support to team members.
• Attend training for qualifications and recertification as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to company policies.
