Job summary
IMP Aerospace & Defence is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to perform first and second line maintenance on the Cormorant helicopter in support of our SAR operations. Duties include servicing, inspection, removal, repair, installation, testing and release of mechanical, structural and electrical systems.
Travel to remote bases, ongoing training, and adherence to safety policies are required to ensure mission readiness and reliability.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship and hold a valid license or be qualified in the armed forces or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years in aviation maintenance.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform first and second level maintenance on mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
- Conduct pre/post flight inspections and support, marshalling and towing.
- Ground run auxiliary power units where qualified.
- Support ferry and deployment operations as needed.
- Provide on-the-job training and participate in qualifications and recertification.
- Maintain tidy, safe hangar and shop areas.
- Supervise other employees when required.
