Job summary

Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company, seeks a Director of Maintenance to oversee maintenance across all Pegasus locations and fulfill Alternate Accountable Manager duties under Part 145.

The role provides leadership for maintenance personnel, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinates with FAA inspections, customers, and management. Travel to stations is required, with a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft maintenance leadership and aviation operations.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and regulatory demands.
• Excellent communication and customer-relations skills.
• Strong decision-making under pressure and prioritization capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee maintenance operations across Pegasus locations.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145, RSM/QSM, and customer requirements.
• Lead maintenance leadership and personnel for safe, efficient operations.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory activities with internal/external resources.
• Maintain site operational readiness and timely regulatory records.
• Support invoicing documentation and business communications.
