Job summary

JetBlue Airways seeks a Maintenance Controller to monitor airworthiness of the fleet and serve as the single interface between Technical Operations and Dispatch for all aircraft maintenance concerns. You will use real-time monitoring tools, coordinate with SOC and frontline teams, and develop recovery plans for out-of-service aircraft, ensuring safe, timely operations across the network.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in heavy transport aircraft.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
  • SIDA Badge eligibility required.
  • Must work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • May require U.S. Customs clearance depending on location.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Uses real-time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies.
  • Central point of contact for front line crewmembers and business partners on maintenance matters.
  • Supervise and coordinate all unscheduled maintenance functions per JetBlue procedures.
  • Serve as SOC focal point and communicate with teams as required by manuals and SOPs.
  • Provide real-time recovery support and technical advice for aircraft out of service; liaise with relevant departments to plan recovery actions.
  • Maintain surveillance of line station activity and support JetBlue and contract maintenance partners.
  • Oversee deferred maintenance processes and track repair requirements as per manuals and OPS specs.
  • Record delays and cancellations for cities without JetBlue staff AMTs; include flight interruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
