Aerotek is seeking an Interiors Technician in Everett, WA to perform interior modification and upgrades on 737 MAX and A330 aircraft. You will remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, lavatories, galleys, and related interior equipment, supporting heavy maintenance checks and modification programs.

The role requires hands-on interior experience on commercial cabins, proficiency with tools, and flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts in a large MRO

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of aircraft interiors installation experience.
• 4+ years of aircraft interiors removal and installation experience on commercial cabins.
• Hands-on experience with aircraft interiors including seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, lavatories, galleys, and related equipment.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for interior installation, removal, and repair.
• Ability to inspect and repair installation brackets and related assemblies.
• Experience in aviation or MRO environments on interior modification projects.
• Willingness to work weekends and varied shifts.
• Maintain a personal minimum tool list for interior tasks.

Job Title: Interiors Technician

Job Description

The Interiors Technician performs interior modification and upgrades on 737 MAX and A330 aircraft for airline customers. This role focuses on the removal, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, lavatories, galleys, and other interior equipment to support heavy maintenance checks and modification programs.

Responsibilities

• Remove aircraft interior components such as seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, lavatories, galleys, and other cabin equipment in accordance with approved procedures.

• Inspect installation brackets, supports, and related assemblies for damage, wear, or nonconformance and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.

• Install and reinstall seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, panels, and other interior components to meet engineering specifications and maintenance requirements.

• Perform interior modification and upgrade tasks on 737 MAX and A330 aircraft as part of heavy checks and scheduled maintenance.

• Use appropriate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for removal, installation, repair, and adjustment of interior components.

• Carry out basic upholstery-related tasks and cabinet work as needed for interior refurbishment and modification.

• Handle and install cabin equipment such as lavatories, galleys, CO2 boxes, and other interior systems in compliance with maintenance documentation.

• Follow all aviation maintenance standards, technical manuals, and work instructions to ensure airworthiness and quality of interior installations.

• Maintain and use a personal minimum tool set as required for daily tasks, ensuring tools are accounted for and in good working condition.

• Collaborate with other technicians and shop personnel to meet project timelines and support heavy maintenance checks and modification schedules.

• Work flexibly across assigned shifts, including weekends, to support operational needs and available overtime.

• Adhere to safety protocols, hangar rules, and quality procedures in a large MRO environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3+ years of aircraft interiors installation experience.

• 4+ years of aircraft interiors removal and installation experience working on commercial aircraft cabins.

• Hands-on experience with aircraft interiors, including seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, lavatories, galleys, and related equipment.

• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for installation, removal, and repair of interior components.

• Ability to perform inspection and repair of installation brackets and related assemblies.

• Experience working in aviation or MRO environments on interior modification and upgrade projects.

• Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends, as required by the operation.

• Ability to maintain and use a minimum personal tool list suitable for interior maintenance and modification tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Airframe license (A&P or airframe license) strongly preferred.

• Airframe license and/or 5+ years of aircraft interiors experience highly preferred.

• Experience with 737 MAX or other next-generation commercial aircraft interiors preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in an MRO hangar environment.

• Ability to work effectively in a busy, large-scale maintenance facility and adapt to floor shift assignments after initial training.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a large MRO hangar setting focused on heavy maintenance checks and interior modification projects. The first week is dedicated to training on a day schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with the possibility of finishing early on Thursday), after which you move to an assigned floor shift. Standard shift times are 05:0015:30 or 15:3002:00, with schedule patterns such as MondayThursday, TuesdayFriday, or ThursdaySunday. Technicians typically have access to 1020 hours of overtime per week, depending on operational needs. You will work around commercial aircraft, using a personal minimum tool set along with hangar equipment, in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork.

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
