Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician to perform mechanical work on interiors, including removal and installation of components, fabric and leather fittings, and basic electrical tasks. You will troubleshoot issues, modify panels and upholstery, and help refurbishments across fleet hubs.

The role requires 5+ years in private aviation interiors, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hangar environment while following FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience working on private aviation interiors is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn interior components.
• Make minor modifications to panels, seats, carpets, cabinetry, and upholstery.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials such as leather, fabric, and composites for interior refurbishments.
• Assist in aircraft detailing and cleaning.
• Maintain and repair the shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to navigate training materials, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Work independently when required.
• Communicate effectively in English.
