West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician to join our on-site team in Teterboro, NJ.

The role focuses on installation and refurbishment of aircraft interiors, including carpeting, insulation, and upholstery, with duties ranging from minor electrical work to panel modifications. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in private aviation interiors and can work in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience working on private aviation interiors preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and work in a hangar environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn interior components.
• Make minor modifications to panels, seats, carpets, cabinetry, and upholstery.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials such as leather, fabric, and composites for interior refurbishments.
• Assist in aircraft detailing and cleaning.
• Maintain and repair the shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Show basic computer skills to navigate training materials, manuals, and databases.
• Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Work independently when required.
• Communicate clearly in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
