Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Arlington, VA is seeking an Aircraft Fueler to fuel, defuel and service aircraft on the airport ramp. The role requires accurate math, safe handling of fueling equipment, and strict adherence to safety policies.

This is a full-time position with outdoor work in all weather and a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Candidates should be able to read and write English, perform basic calculations, and lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations.
• Handle fueling carts and hoses, lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions; flexible to shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience with Commercial Driver’s License or Oil & Gas industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fuel aircraft safely and efficiently using fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and carts.
• Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
• Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and keep it clean and functional.
• Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Defuel aircraft as directed.

Description

Role Purpose

The aircraft Fueler responsibility is to the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircrafts at the airport. You will need to perform simple mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with regards to weight, measurement and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions as they pertain to fueling.

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What you will be doing

• Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions
• Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment, maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed.

• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
• This is a full-time position and the schedules available is : 15:00 - 2330 Tuesday and Wednesday off
