Job summary

Menzies Aviation seeks a Aircraft Fueler to perform fueling, defueling and servicing of aircraft at the airport. The role requires safe handling of fuel, basic math for weight and balance, and operating fuel trucks and carts.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and be available for weekend/holiday shifts. A valid driver's license is required and prior fuel or oil/gas experience is preferred.

  • Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel and defuel aircraft as directed.

Job description

The aircraft Fueler responsibility is to the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircrafts at the airport. You will need to perform simple mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with regards to weight, measurement and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions as they pertain to fueling.

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What you will be doing
  • Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions
  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment, maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed.

What we are looking for
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations
  • Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
