Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Palmdale, CA seeks a skilled Flight Line Mechanic to determine methods and sequences of operations on aircraft during flight test and production phases. You will disassemble and rebuild prototypes, mock up layouts, fabricate and install structures and systems, and perform final servicing and troubleshooting to ensure airworthiness.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, using blueprints and technical orders, and preparing aircraft for successive test,

Qualifications

• Must have full four years of aircraft assembly/checkout experience or graduate Flight Line Mechanic Apprentice.
• A&P license or equivalent with practical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprints, technical data, and data models; proficient in using a computer to document work.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and rebuild prototype/production aircraft sections as required for flight tests.
• Perform final flight line servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on aircraft systems.
• Install and test structures, components, and accessories to specifications and airworthiness requirements.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and perform adjustments during flight or ground checks.
• Collaborate with company, customer, and vendor teams to ensure readiness for test and delivery flights.
