Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking an experienced Flight Electrical and Instruments Mechanic to complete final operational checkouts of prototype electronic and software systems installed in aircraft. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, replace defective units, and verify full system functionality ahead of flight.

Candidates must have at least four years in avionic systems (radar, navigation, satellite, electronic systems) and hold or obtain the FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of avionic systems experience (radar, navigation, satellite, electronic systems).
• Must possess FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License or obtain within one year at employee’s expense.

Responsibilities

• Perform final operational checkout for conformance to company and customer specs.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, rework or replace defective units and verify system function prior to flight.
• Disassemble, diagnose, repair radar, radio and other electronic systems as needed during laboratory or flight tests.
