Honda Aero, LLC in Burlington, NC seeks an Aircraft Engine Production & MRO Engineer to provide engineering leadership for gas turbine assembly, overhaul work scopes, and FAA-compliant repair procedures for new jet engines and those returning from the field.

The role requires 3+ years in gas turbine engine production or overhaul, strong knowledge of FAA regulations, and experience with lean manufacturing and MES software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in gas turbine engine production, overhaul, or repair environments.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing (Kaizen, Six Sigma, TQM) and MES software.
• Excellent technical communication and project leadership.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute MRO overhaul work scopes, parts repair procedures, and mass production rework instructions.
• Author and implement engineering changes, FAA Service Bulletins, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
• Collaborate with design and quality engineering to enhance engine reliability and reduce assembly cycle times.
• Design and maintain precision engine kitting layouts, tool shadowing, and parts control systems.
• Provide technical guidance to assembly technicians and collaborate with tier-1 engine parts suppliers.

About the Role

Honda Aero, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Engine Production & MRO Engineer in Burlington, NC. You will provide engineering leadership for gas turbine assembly, overhaul work scopes, and FAA-compliant repair procedures for new production jet engines and engines returning from the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute MRO overhaul work scopes, parts repair procedures, and mass production rework instructions.
• Author and implement engineering changes, FAA Service Bulletins, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
• Collaborate with design and quality engineering to enhance engine reliability and reduce assembly cycle times.
