Job summary

Honda is seeking a Manufacturing team member to perform advanced operations including material handling, assembly, inspection, MRO, and test of aircraft engines. You will lead training and support engine hardware layout, ensuring 100% traceability and accurate data communication.

The role requires a FAA Powerplant license, 6 years in aviation manufacturing, and 5+ years in jet engine maintenance; strong problem-solving and blueprints interpretation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• FAA certified Powerplant Maintenance License is required.
• 6 years in aviation manufacturing and/or maintenance facility.
• 5+ years specific to jet engine maintenance is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead training of associates.
• Maintenance of engine kitting by supporting layout of engine hardware parts and storage.
• Facilitate data to Preliminary Review disposition for nonconforming product decisions.
• Document technical data and provide timely communication of results.
• Perform visual/quality checks of assembly hardware to maintain 100% traceability.
• Perform hands-on engine assembly at high skill level as needed.
• Perform hands-on engine repair activities at high skill level as needed.

Job Purpose

Manufacturing team member with the res ponsibility of performing advanced operations involving material handling, assembly, inspection, Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO), and test of aircraft engines.

Key Accountabilities

Lead training of associatesMaintenance of engine kitting by supporting layout of engine hardware parts and storage utilizing shadowing for parts controlFacilitate supporting data to Preliminary Review (PR) disposition for nonconforming product decisionsDocument technical data and provide timely communication of resultsPerform visual/quality checks of assembly hardware to maintain 100% traceability of productPerform hands-on engine assembly at the highest level of skill as needed to support the teamPerform hands-on engine repair activites at the highest level of skill as needed to support the team

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:High school Diploma or GEDFAA certified Powerplant Maintenance LicenseMinimum Experience:6 years in aviation manufacturing and/or maintenance facility5+ years specific to jet engine maintenance is a bonus

Work Conditions

Travel: No travel expectedPhysical: Manufacturing environment with minimal desk work. Frequent kneeling, standing, reaching, squatting, bending, pushing and lifting. Some physical effort required (pushing 300+ pounds on wheeled cart; lifting 25-50 pounds.Hazards: Risks found in typical aviation shop setting. Exposure to explosives/flammables, pressurized equipment, chemicals, moving parts, hot parts.Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.Maintains professional conduct and follows all departmental rules, safety, company policies and procedures.
