Job summary

MartinBaker America in Johnstown, PA is seeking an Aircraft Ejection Seat Overhaul Technician to perform inspection, overhaul, and testing of life-critical ejection seats in accordance with manuals and regulatory standards. You will repair components, calibrate test equipment, document results, and collaborate with a team to ensure aircrew safety and operational readiness.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant maintenance experience, with veterans preferred;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 5 years' maintenance experience on ejection seats.
• Military AME/PR 'A' school or USAF equivalent desirable.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Adhere to company policies and safety requirements.

Job Purpose:

The Aircraft Ejection Seat Overhaul Technician is a skilled technical expert responsible for comprehensive inspection, complex repair, precision overhaul, and rigorous testing of ejection seats and their life-critical components in accordance with detailed technical specifications, engineering drawings, and stringent regulatory standards. This role is essential to maintaining the highest levels of aircrew safety, product quality, and operational readiness while ensuring full compliance with all applicable procedures and customer requirements.

Overview:

We're seeking an Aircraft Ejection Seat Overhaul Technician to support critical maintenance, overhaul, and precision testing of MartinBaker ejection seats, ensuring full operational readiness and adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair, overhaul, and recondition ejection seats and components following detailed technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform precise testing, troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventive maintenance to ensure all components meet safety and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and technical documentation for compliance and traceability.
• Calibrate and service specialized test equipment to ensure reliable results.
• Follow complex instructions, engineering drawings, and procedures with high accuracy.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills for documenting tests and maintaining data integrity.
• Maintain high safety, quality, and compliance standards while working independently and in a team.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED; 5 year's experience in the support of maintenance on ejection seats and their components.
• Desirable; Military experience with graduation from U.S. Navy/Marine Corps AME/PR "A" school or U.S. Air Force equivalent.
• Demonstrate expertise in mechanical ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and computer skills for accurate documentation and traceability.
• Must adhere to all company policies and safety requirements.
