Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Deicer at SeaTac, WA. This part-time seasonal position runs mid/late Sept 2026 through May 2027, paying $28.00/hour.

As an Aircraft Deicer you will inspect for ice, spray deicing fluid, and help with pre-planning and shutdown procedures for the de/anti-ice event.

Requirements include 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, English literacy, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and successful IDS training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Read/write/understand instructions in English.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations.
• Inspect aircraft for ice and remaining contamination after deicing.
• Spray aircraft with glycol-based deicing fluid.
• Assist pre-planning for de/anti-ice events and equipment checks.
• Log maintenance issues and complete shutdown procedures.

The individual in this position inspects the aircraft for ice and for remaining frozen contamination after the deicing has been performed. He or she sprays the airplane down with the deicing fluid, which is usually made of glycol.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and make sure all company policies andprocedures are being followed correctly• Uphold and follow the duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlinesand IDS, including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination• Participate in the pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (perform checks on equipment, trucks, servicingequipment with fuel or glycol)• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books; that all maintenance issues havebeen logged and reported to maintenance, and all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment arefollowedRequired Skills and Experience:• Must be at least 18 years old• High school diploma or equivalent preferred• Intermediate computer skills• Maintain and treat all information as confidential• Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English• Must be able to verbally direct in English• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives• Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently• A valid driver’s license is required for this position• Successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this locationWork Environment:• The Inland Group of Companies maintains a drug-free workplace and, as such, all candidates and employees can expect to participate in our drug testing program• Prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes andnoise, in or around heavy equipment, and moving vehiclesPhysical Demands:• Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders and work at heights in excess of15 ft to perform role, repairs, or inspections• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently to supplement other senses in maximizing situational awarenessin safety-sensitive environments• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms• Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception and the ability to adjust focus• May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, andweather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, andsafety proceduresThe Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
